I READ with interest the article on the restaurant owner being filmed by a council worker on his mobile.
I would like to know if the council provides this mobile from our council tax or, if it is in fact the person’s own, what right have the council got to use privately collected snooping from council staff?
I would also like to know why they can catch people cleaning the pavement – which should be down to the council in the first place and is doing them a favour – but they fail to have any officers available to keep the pavements, and in particular rights of way, clear of dog mess.
Perhaps if these snoops were to get out of their vans and tackle these problems we would have a better opinion of them.
