READING the Echo I just could not believe the ridiculous lengths councils will go to make problems.
The gentleman in question is only sweeping the dust and rubbish from his decking blown there from the road and surrounding areas – which is the responsibility of the council in the first place!
So he is only sweeping the stuff back to where it rightly belongs – in the gutter awaiting a council clean up.
If they persist in this jobsworth action, then the manager of this particular diner should sue the council for their rubbish continually littering his frontage.
Hopefully this would cause a knock on effect for others to take the same action – thereby forcing the council to desist with wasting more taxpayers’ money, and put their workers’ time to better use!
This really must be a 10 out of 10 for council buffoonery.
