Delicious while still slightly warm or enjoy toasted spread with butter.
Fruity Tea Bread with Ginger
225 ml strong tea at room temperature
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
150 grams wholemeal very strong bread flour
300 grams white bread flour
1 1/2 tsp easy bake yeast
4 tbsp glace ginger chopped
100 grams sultanas
Put the ingredients (except the ginger and sultanas) into the breadmaker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook).
Set to the basic/normal white program.
Add the ginger and sultanas at the time for added ingredients as directed by the manufacturer of your machine.
