Cheap holidays to the Costa Blanca

advertising feature

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue...

The Costa Blanca has them all, old streets, new towns, a skyline that could easily have been borrowed from Manhattan, and the piercing blue skies of long, hot summer days.

The Costa Blanca is situated half way down the eastern cost of mainland Spain, has a wonderful year round climate and holds excitement for the whole family. Cheap holidays to the Costa Blanca have been popular since the early 1960's when the 320 days of sunshine a year and short flight times of less than three hours from the UK first started attracting package holidaymakers.

The north of the region has quaint little fishing harbours dotted along its rocky coastline, while to the south you'll come across Alicante, one of Spain's fastest growing cities. Sweet smelling orange and lemon groves litter the countryside and the succulent muscatel grape grows on sun kissed vines.

Costa Blanca holidays usually conjure up images of Benidorm with its lively streets, tall apartment blocks and vast sandy beaches. The Puig Campana, or Bell Hill rises above and beyond the towering hotels of the town reminding you that even in the heart of Benidorm you are never very far away from nature.

Benidorm is separated into two halves known as the old and new. Poniente is the older town and Levante the new, and where most of the major hotels are to be found. You can make what you want of the nightlife in Benidorm with its drag acts, Brit pubs, Irish bars, live music, magic acts, nightly hotel entertainment, karaoke bars and cabaret shows; Benidorm holidays simply have it all. During our winter months, the older generation are drawn to the balmy climate and mild temperatures, often booking long stay holidays to avoid the harsh British winter. You'll often find yourself in the heart of Benidorm when booking cheap holidays to the Costa Blanca, however there are plenty of other resorts to choose from in the area.

The refined and more tranquil resort of Albir is just twenty minutes away from Benidorm so close enough to visit but far enough away to never even notice it's there. The beach here is ideal for topping up your tan and the Blue Flag Award means it's perfectly clean and safe for the whole family. There are two children's playgrounds just nearby and plenty of wonderful ice cream shops to keep the younger family members happy. There are several world class golf courses in the area along with tennis, squash and numerous water sports to keep the whole family entertained.

Walkers will love wandering through the Sierra Helada Mountain range and appreciating the stunning views of Benidorm stretching below.

Cheap holidays to the Costa Blanca are sometimes hard to come by as it is such a beautiful and popular holiday destination all year round. Cheap holidays to the Costa Blanca can usually be found towards the end of summer when temperatures are cooling down and the long stay winter holidaymakers are still at home packing their cases. Alternatively, visit in the spring time when the winter holidaymakers have left and before the summer season really kicks in.
