Thomas Cook Airlines Launch Online Check-In

Thomas Cook Airlines are now the first UK charter airline to introduce an online check-in facility, meaning for the first time package holiday passengers and those who have booked all inclusive holidays through a travel agent will have access to this time saving option.

Passengers will still have the option of checking in the traditional way at the airport, but now will have the benefit of doing so at home, before arriving at the airport.

So far, online check-in has been introduced at airports with flights departing from; Bristol, Stansted, Gatwick, Belfast, Newcastle and Leeds Bradford and the remaining airports used by Thomas Cook will be introduced to the facility soon.

Aswell as being able to print boarding cards up to seven days before departure, customers can also pre-book seats.

For customers who wish to use the online check-in service, a baggage drop facility has been implemented at the airports for those taking luggage.

For the massive convenience offered, Thomas Cook are charging an extremely reasonable charge for using this service. To try the online check-in facility and take advantage of the Seats Together/Your Seat Your Choice option costs just &pound12 per person return and for those who want to have first pick of the seats, an extra facility is offered whereby &pound6 per person per flight will give you the Priority Seat Selection which allows seat selection up to 98 days before travel.

Joanna Wild, Customer services director said: "We're always looking at ways we can give our holidaymakers more control over their booking and this innovation gives people the freedom to choose where they sit as well as making the airport experience a quick and easy one.

"We're really proud that we're the first to offer this to charter passengers and look forward to rolling it out to our full flying programme soon."
