ARGHHH! Zombie apocalypse has spread across the world. Luckily a group of soldiers and families have fled to the relative safety of Plum Island. It’s the American equivalent of Poole’s lovely Brownsea Island.
Directed by zombie godfather George A Romero, this is the sixth part of his Dead saga. But this is more than a straightforward horror.
The gut-munching zombies play second fiddle to the bickering families and shady scientists. Survival of the Dead instead chooses to focus on human relationships under extreme pressure.
For my money, I’d like to see more flesh eating and a little less time sitting around having a philosophical debate.
