JENNIFER Aniston has pretty much failed to make an impression since Friends, and her appearance here goes some way to explain why.
She’s uncapable, it seems, of finding any depth in her characters, thus sweet florist Eloise doesn’t make her mark.
Quite why a bond develops between her and life guru Burke (Aaron Eckhart) remains a mystery as the disjointed story hobbles along to its predictable, clichéd finale.
Martin Sheen and Judy Greer’s smaller parts have much more heart, and the real star of the film turns out to be a cockatiel (wrongly described as a parrot), who was the only one to evoke any emotion from me.
Love happens, but it didn’t here.
