Calm down, this is posturing by Burnley to look tough in front of their own fans. Compensation is being agreed, the club spoke to EH last week and agreed the deal. Every club comes out with these statements remember when EH was having talks with Charlton, Palace, Burnley etc. If Burnley had wanted to keep him they would have issued a strong statement last week not now.

Nobody I know is sorry this is happening, the idea that we will get money for it is stunning, many of us were worried how we'd afford to sack him and his entourage at xmas to be honest.

Yet I still believe he's a decent manager but he's clearly a home bird, other than for away games I don't think he'd ever left the area before he came to work at Burnley. I hope this can be concluded quickly and we can wish him well and get a manager in who can add some backbone to our side.

I like you have no doubt at all that he will sort it out, but it's a real mess and can't be done overnight, believe too, that he will need to bring in three players to balance the team and rid the Club of a least a dozen. Mid table this Season and a chase for promotion next. "IF" he comes back will see whether the Club will be offering Season tickets for the rest of the Season, might even get my old seat back!. Pleased that Max intervened and insisted that Groves went and if possible Eddie Howe in - is paying for it too - this time out of his pocket.
