Cherries: Taylor could be first to make loan move

BOSS Lee Bradbury says he plans to utilise the emergency loan window by sending out players – with Lyle Taylor believed to be close to a move.

Daily Echo sources suggest the striker could be set to join Hereford United on loan.

Taylor, signed by Cherries on a two-year contract in August 2010, has been restricted to 11 starts and 15 substitute appearances for the Dorset club.

The former non-league star has found himself behind fellow frontmen Wes Thomas, Matt Tubbs and Steve Fletcher in the Cherries selection process in recent weeks.

And while there had been no official confirmation when the Echo went to print last night, Taylor was understood to be close to linking up with League Two outfit Hereford.

Speaking before news of that potential deal, Cherries manager Bradbury had revealed his intention to get game-time for some of Cherries’ squad members. He confirmed midfielder Mark Molesley and strikers Taylor and Jayden Stockley were candidates for moves.

In an interview with the Daily Echo on Tuesday night, Bradbury had said: “One of the strikers, possibly, may go on loan, whether that is Jayden, Lyle or Fletch.

“But Fletch has been involved in the (matchday) squad, so we will have to look at the other two because if they are not getting minutes, then they want to play games.

“Mark Molesley is back from injury and played 60 minutes in a reserve game on Tuesday.

“He needs to go and play for a month somewhere to get his fitness levels back so he can come back and show me what he is all about.

“They could go out on loan for a month and play six or seven games. If they could do that and it is the right sort of team that suits them, then I would definitely look at that for them.”

Bradbury’s preference is to secure league football for his players in any loan move.

He said: “Jayden has been to League Two and he did well at Accrington and scored goals.

“Mark is a senior professional that needs to play league football and Lyle is certainly capable of that as well.

“I would want them to go to a team that is going to try to play the right way and that would benefit them.”

However, Bradbury says he will only look to recruit players during the emergency loan window if injuries force him to bolster his squad.

He highlighted central defence as one position where he could be required to strengthen – with Adam Barrett and Mathieu Baudry both sidelined.

Meanwhile, Bradbury confirmed Gary Bowles and first-year professionals Paddy Hester and Dan Strugnell could also be loaned out, with Alex Parsons already involved at non-league Bashley.

We have good numbers now so getting the younger lads and moles out on loan can only be positive! Don't think we need to get another CB in, we have francis who can cover that position and with Byrne close to coming back we do have other options!

Its rumoured that Lyle was not keen to be sent out on loan some months ago. However things have since changed, especially with Matt joining and Wes being so successful. So I hope that Lyle will relish the chance to make a name for himself at another club and then return to us a stronger and more experienced member of the squad with the chance of more first team games.

Can't see Taylor or Molesley having much future at Dean Court. I think they will both move on in the summer.
.
Good to get Stockley out on loan to get game time. He is the New Fletch, but in the meantime we need Supa here. He is now our only option of changing the game at the front end.

I would like to see Gregory go out on loan, personally I feel he looks and is too in-experienced at this level?!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Baudry out on loan real soon; i saw him in the players lounge before the game on Tuesday with his agent being introduced to Paul Tisdale. It must have been important for the two to be having a chat 30 minutes before kick off when you'd have thought Tisdale would have been better off preparing his team.

The squad is now clearly too large and several fringe players should be allowed to secure loan moves with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

I would like to see Mark get some games under his belt - fully fit - he just could be the missing link in our mid field - he is a ball winner and creative with it. Jayden needs games and experience - he is I believe a long term player for us. I really can't see us going up this year - given our very tough run in our form would have to be truly remarkable. So it's going to be all about next Season's squad and Lee has some hard decisions to make at the end of the Season.
