Cherries: Wes wants permanent move

WANTAWAY Cherries striker Wes Thomas has revealed he is keen to earn a permanent move to Birmingham City.
Unsettled frontman Thomas completed a deadline-day loan switch to the Championship outfit on a deal until the end of the season.
That came after the 26-year-old Londoner had been consistently linked with a transfer away from Dean Court throughout the January window.
Thomas, who has also been out on loan with Portsmouth and Blackpool this season, is contracted to Cherries until the summer of 2014.
However, he today confirmed that he would welcome the chance to stay with the Blues beyond the expiry of his current loan.
Thomas reportedly told BBC WM: “It comes down to how I perform – hopefully I can put in the results to win a contract here.
“I would be buzzing if I was able to stay here. I think if this club can sort out the problems it has got, it would be a massive club to sign for. It is a massive club and I didn’t want to turn down the chance to come here.”
Thomas was understood to have previously attracted interest from the likes of Burnley, Huddersfield, Derby and Watford.
His form on loan with Blackpool – where he scored three times in nine appearances – caught the eye of potential suitors in the Championship.
Signed by Cherries from Crawley Town in January 2012, Thomas made his first appearance for the Dorset club for more than two months when he came off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Swindon last month.
Boss Eddie Howe then handed Thomas a start – his first for Cherries since August – in the FA Cup third round replay defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic.
But he was keen on a move away and put pen to paper with Birmingham after the Blues made a loan swoop last week.

Hopefully the 'lucky' club can stump up the required amount of money to release him !

Bye bye Wes, not going to be that sorry when you go, only want players dedicated to the cause at my club, unfortunately the only person you care about is yourself. You had full support from the fans even when the goals dried up but,as ever,it was all about you. Even Eddie tried to give you the benefit of the doubt with a sub appearence and 2 starts where you proceded to hit the bar from 2 yards out against Walslall so thanks for the first 20 games when you first came here and nevermind for the rest.I actually think your a good player, good at recieving the ball with your back to goal and good at turning and leaving your defender for dead but unfortunately no composure when through on goal so no sour grapes,i genuinly hope you get your move and we get a good price for you or otherwise back to the development squad you go.Some former players retain our respect and love as shown by the receptions of Danny Hollands and James Hayter this season and while your not quite in the Rhoys Wiggins catergory try and show a bit of gratitude to the club that actually employs you, afterall, it was Groves who dropped you not Eddie Howe,(and you deserved dropping from what i could see).

Doubt he will do much in the NPC, we will probably lose money and he will be off to league2 next season.

I really really hope he gets his move away. He came on against Swinedon when we were winning, managed to somehow get booked (he didn,t do alot else) and we ended up drawing a game we should of won. He then started the next two games and surprise surprise we lost them both. Enough said.
His Swindon performance continued his miserable performances from earlier in this season.
.
He looks the part but is ineffective. HAVE WE STRUGGLED WITHOUT HIM? 21st to 3rd without him under the manager of the season and bookie favourites for promotion suggests Mr Thomas is starting to believe his own PR (or his best mate's, Mr Appletons).
.
Birmingham and Blackpool are deemed "massive" yet they seem incapable of making a proper bid for such a massive prospect!!
Matt Tubbs preferred any day; Wes should hope Brum don't go for Matt instead...if they can afford him!

You don't want to play for us anymore so please go and play elsewhere.
Thanks, but no thanks.

My boss is a massive blues fan and went to the match at the weekend. He asked me if the goals were considerably bigger in league 1 as Thomas seemed to be firing at a much bigger target than the rest of them.
My suggestion of a bell in the ball and barn doors to aim at went down just as you would expect.

Bye, bye Wes, the only shame is that you've had more game time than Matty Tubbs at AFCB. Full marks to Matt for patiently putting in a short shift when required and playing the squad game for us.
