Results around us didn't go our way either with the top two way ahead even with our couple of games in hand. The play off places are our only realistic aim now..... but not if we play like we did today. All i all a bad day at the office. Let's hope the Hartlepool game is on Tuesday and we can bounce back with three points.

I love the way Eddie pulls no punches and was totally honest in his assessment.
Hopefully Tuesday will be off and some of the injuries can sort themselves out. We were always going to lose at some point and the forwards seem to be totally ineffective at the moment, ALL of them, not just Wes had a bad day it would seem. As you say Steady Eddie KEEP THE FAITH.... UTCIAD

ALL the forwards are having a bad time finding the net, I wan't there, but think singling out Wes is unfair. It seems Pugh was badly missed as he was against Wigan, made such a difference once he came on Tuesday. Many of the team seems to of had a bad day, one to forget and move on... UTCIAD

I'm not saying wholesale changes Frankie but, as another post has said, most of our goals come from midfield and I've lost count of the number of crosses that find defenders' heads or feet.
Regarding Thomas, he will need time to settle back in. He's been away so long that he's almost a new signing. If EH and Thomas himself are looking for him to stay, he must be given time although, as I have said, a taller stronger striker is needed IMHO.

Agreed.
We now have two flying wingers but someone must be in there to get on the end of the crosses, a la Sam Vokes. The absence of Demouge is a mystery. He played in a higher league than ours so what's happened. If Eddy really doesn't rate him, why not let him go cheap and save on his wages?
We have a hell of a skilful midfield but we also need an animal in there to give sme bite.

It's all about opinion, I don't think Thomas is the answer either and Pitman is still settling in, we already have a big striker on the books, a certain Dutch player by the name of Demouge, Eddie hasn't felt the need to change things which considering the run we have been on and the goals we have been banging in you can understand why. This season is about building Eddie's team, I think any chance of promotion will be a bonus, surely we are more set up to go for it next season when Eddie can get rid of the dead wood and build a team that he can manager properly? We have made 3 very good signings this week so in Eddie I certainly trust, also the very best teams do get the majority of goals from midfield, I admit we don't have the height up front at times but when have we? It will be interesting to see what Eddie does after yesterday, he won;t be happy that we have put in such a poor show, he's all about the hard work etc, I certainly don't think though that he is going to make any big changes, he trusts these players and will from his past record, stick with them!!
