Cherries: Molesley set for Grecians switch

POPULAR Cherries midfielder Mark Molesley is today expected to complete a move to League Two high-fliers Exeter City.
Molesley is understood to have agreed terms on a permanent switch to the Devon outfit after his contract with Cherries was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 31-year-old, who last featured for Cherries during a 1-1 draw at Brentford on Boxing Day 2011, is set to join the Grecians initially until the end of the season.
Molesley is believed to have impressed Exeter boss Paul Tisdale when he lined up on loan for Plymouth during last month’s derby at St James’s Park.
The Londoner was one of Eddie Howe’s first permanent signings in January 2009 after originally joining Cherries on loan from non-league Grays Athletic.
He was a key figure as Cherries heroically escaped relegation in 2009 before being restricted by a persistent foot injury to just 10 appearances in the following season’s promotion.
Plagued by injury problems during the past two years, Molesley, who scored five goals in 60 Cherries appearances, served Aldershot on loan last season.

Good luck at Exeter Mark, and you will always get a great reception when you come back to Bournemouth.
When he was fit and firing on all cylinders, he was absolutely our best midfielder and possibly our best player.
It's a real shame that such a decent bloke as Mark can have such terrible luck with injuries.
I wish him all the best.

Good luck to Mark. A fine player. But thanks mostly for your last minute goal away to Dag n Red when relegation from the Football League was looking odds on. One of my favourite AFCB moments that.
I'm sure he'll be a crowd fave there, just like he was at DC

Was looking forward to seeing him back in the team at some stage.
It's just bad luck that the current midfielders are doing such a good job.
I hope he gets regular football now.

Agree wth all the above. A quality player, wh alwas gave his all and one of those rare enforcers who can set the tempo of the game. Would have loved to have seen him back in our team, but with 3 or 4 quality midfielders between him and the first team it would have been a very difficult task and at 31 the clock was ticking. All the best Mark.
