Cherries: Dutch club watch midfielder Davids

REPRESENTATIVES from a Dutch club were understood to have watched Cherries midfielder Lorenzo Davids during a training match this afternoon.

Davids was part of an experimental Cherries team which suffered a 3-0 friendly defeat at the hands of Reading in Kings Park.

Former Cherries loan stars Alex Pearce and Jem Karacan featured for the Premier League outfit, alongside the likes of ex-Republic of Ireland defender Ian Harte and midfielder Danny Guthrie.

Karacan opened the scoring for Reading before a second-half double from Dominic Samuel.

Cherries handed valuable game-time to young goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel, Stephane Zubar, Joe Partington, Davids and Frank Demouge in a team which mainly consisted of development players.

We need to keep hold of him from what I've seen.
Especially with macdonald out for 2 months.

Take him, especially with Gregory back. David's is overrated in my view.

Bit difficult to have much of a opinion on him, we've only seen him when obviously not match fit after an injury, groves only picked him cos he got desperate, would at least like to see him fitter

EH hasn't picked him yet or even put him on the bench, says it all to me. With Carmicheal, Gregoory, Arter and a couple of others, if a club wants to take him on and pay a few quid for him, it's good business to poke him on.
