Don't miss the Echo's brand new 'Youth Sport' supplement

“YOU’LL never win anything with kids,” the football pundit Alan Hansen once famously said.

He was wrong.

Hundreds of youngsters all over the Daily Echo’s circulation area, from North Dorset to Bournemouth and Ringwood to Poole, taste sporting success and enjoyment every week – and now we want to reward them.

The Echo will on Thursday be launching a new eight-page ‘Youth Sport’ supplement, celebrating the sporting successes and achievements of the region’s youngsters.

Football, rugby, martial arts, archery, gymnastics, golf, volleyball, cricket – in fact, pretty much any sport you could think of will feature in the new supplement.

For readers who follow youth football in the area, the Echo’s coverage of the Bournemouth Youth Football League and Dorset Youth League will now move from our Wednesday edition to the new Thursday supplement.

Every week, we will have a youth football ‘feature match’ with a report and pictures from the Echo’s very own sports writers and photographers.

In this week’s launch edition, we report on Poole Town under-11s’ 6-1 win against Rossgarth in the BYFL and have a special feature on 15-year-old golf sensation Georgia Hall, who is on the brink of Great Britain and Ireland’s Curtis Cup squad.

As well as that, we have boxing, motocross, gymnastics, squash and tennis.

• We are looking for more of your sporting success stories |and reports to feature in the new supplement, so get sending |your news, match reports |and pictures to sport@bournemouthecho.co.uk, or via post to Sports Desk, Daily Echo, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH.
