DETERMINED Cherries manager Eddie Howe yesterday agreed terms on a new three-year deal – then vowed to give his all in a bid to make his team a success.
The Dean Court favourite will continue his long association with the club after successfully negotiating his first contract as a manager with Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell.
Howe’s assistant Jason Tindall has also agreed a new three-year deal that will replace his existing contract, which had another season to run.
The highly-rated managerial duo, who have attracted interest from other clubs, are already busy plotting how they can make the team a success next term after steering them clear of relegation last time round.
Howe, who had been working without a contract, said: “Hopefully we can have some stability – which I think the club is crying out for – both at boardroom and managerial level.
“We can try to be successful in the coming three years and really look forward to a brighter future.”
Howe, who reiterated his desire to strengthen his squad with a couple of new players, added: “We’ll endeavour to do our best – and we will do our best – and we’re hopeful we can be successful.
“We’re very, very determined – all of us – to do well next season.”
An equally pleased Tindall is eager to repay the faith shown by Cherries’ new owners.
“Every management team want time and stability and now, with a longer-term contract, it gives us time to put things in place and put our stamp on things,” said the assistant boss.
“As a management team, staff and players, you want people on the board and the owners of the football club right behind you and who want to give you the best chance possible.
“These guys do that and, hopefully, we can all repay each other by achieving good things.”
Howe and Tindall are the latest members of staff to pledge their futures to Cherries after all of the club’s out-of-contract sextet agreed new deals this summer.
