HANS Andersen could complete his loan move to Pirates within the next 36 hours.

Speculation that the Danish GP star could be on his way to Wimborne Road intensified yesterday after Andersen spoke to a Polish website about a possible move to Dorset.

And Ford moved quickly yesterday to tell Poole Castle Cover’s official website that an approach had been made for the 28-year-old Peterborough asset, before confirming to the Echo last night that the Pirates promotion hoped to have the deal sewn up by Wednesday.

Ford said: “We had a discussion with Hans a couple of weeks ago and he was very favourable about coming to Poole. Peterborough, at the time, felt that they might still be able to use him, but due to their excellent form that has become impossible.

“So, ourselves and one or two other teams were given permission to speak to Hans and I am hoping that there will be a conclusion within the next 36 hours.

“We’re very hopeful of concluding the deal, but I don’t want to jump the gun until things are finalised.”

Ford has been frantically trying to rebuild his one-to-seven, with the league champions slumped at the foot of the Elite table following 10 defeats from their opening 14 meetings.

Andersen, meanwhile, has made no secret of his desire to return to the British scene, after a poor start to the 2009 World Championship.

The star, who ended last season on a high with Coventry, has racked up just 12 GP points and is currently 11th in the standings.

The Bees are understood to be chasing Andersen’s signature, with struggling Belle Vue also believed to be keen.
