IT WAS a case of don't you know who I am?' when Weymouth's latest TV stars bumped into star actor Rhys Ifans outside a town kebab shop.

Charlotte Thompson, John Nuttall and Paul Walton have now joined the ranks of EastEnders, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Rhys and the cast from The Boat That Rocked after appearing on Channel Four's Scrapheap Challenge.

Charlotte and John invited their pals to a special party at the Lugger Inn in Chickerell to watch the popular telly show.

And they later toasted their success in winning through to the next round with a few beverages in town - and a sighting of Rhys at a popular takeaway.

Charlotte says Rhys seemed to be with a group of pals - possibly a production crew - as she and a friend strolled past.

Charlotte and pal Laura clocked Rhys but he must have been watching something else on TV that night as, sadly, he failed to recognise our heroes.

There's no criticism of Rhys or any suggestion he snubbed them, he's an A-list star who has probably got better things to do.

But he did miss out. Charlotte, John and Paul - dubbed the Aquarium Crew - gave their opposition a real drubbing on the show.

They were shown slinging a moped far further than their opponents, whose attempts to catapult the bike ended in red faces all round.

Another reader called our hotline to report a sighting of Rhys sat on the seafront with a paper and a drink.

Now, thanks to Incidentally, he's got no excuse to miss the next programme and should have no problem recognising our Scrapheap heroes.
