A POOLE teen has made it through the regional finals of a national singing competition.

Zoe Trivett, aged 13, is now set to perform at the Area Finals of Open Mic UK 2012, for the chance to win a place in the finals at The O2 in London, which will be held in January 2013.

She had to compete in a head-to-head regional battle against some of the best talent in the area, in front of an audience of hundreds to prove that she has what it takes.

The competition is divided up into age categories, and is open to all types of singers and vocal performers, with previous winners including Hampshire-born, Birdy, and last year’s under-18 category winner, Hatty Keane.
