GROVES Nurseries has scooped silver in the national Greatest Garden Centre Team Awards held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

The awards, presented by Olympic rowers Zac Purchase and Mark Hunter, were run with the Sun newspaper and customers of garden centres nationwide voted for their favourite plant retailers.

Groves has garden centres in Bridport and in Beaminster.

Manager Charlie Groves, who attended the award ceremony with his sister Becky Groves, said: “This is a great achievement for all of the team here at Groves.

“It’s really nice to know that our customers think so highly of us and it has been a great way of getting some positive feedback.

“I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to vote for us.”

Groves also received recognition for its community and schools work, being finalists in the Community Involvement category.
