We're praying for you, Jade: colleagues send support to Cranborne crash victim
MESSAGES of support continue to flood in for 18-year-old car crash victim Jade Hutchings, who remains in critical condition at Southampton General Hospital.
The Poole student was placed in a medically-induced coma after the car she was travelling in ploughed into a six-foot brick wall near Wimborne on Saturday night.
Her family and friends are maintaining a bedside vigil as the pretty teenager fights for life.
Earlier this week Jade’s parents urged supporters to pray for their daughter’s recovery.
Jade, who works part-time at Tesco, Fleetsbridge, as well as studying at Bournemouth and Poole College , was one of four young people travelling in a black VW Polo when it lost control in Salisbury Street, Cranborne.
Her Tesco deputy manager, David Osborn, told the Daily Echo: “Everyone at the store is hoping and praying she’ll make a full recovery.
“We’ve been in touch with her mum and have passed our best wishes on. Jade is a great member of the team and this news has hit the store quite hard.
“We employ quite a few students and they all get on really well, so there’s a lot of people noticeably affected by this accident.
“Right now, our hopes and prayers are with Jade and her family.”
Meanwhile, another colleague said: “Jade, we are all thinking of you at work.
“Miss seeing the look on your face when you get a call to checkouts. Keep fighting babe, we know you can do it.”
The three other people in the car – two men and a woman – were treated for superficial injuries and have since been discharged from hospital.
Other messages of support have been posted online. One, from brightspark4, read: “All good wishes and healing thoughts to Jade. Love and support to her family – we are thinking of you.”
Sophie Rose posted: “Thoughts go out to the Hutchings family. Stay strong Jade, keep fighting and wake up soon please.”
No other vehicles were believed to have been involved in the crash, that happened around 10.40pm. Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact Dorset Police on 101.
