FOUR pupils from Winton Arts and Media College in Bournemouth turned their rewards for good work and behaviour into donations for patients at Poole’s Lewis-Manning Hospice.
The school’s e-praise programme gives pupils points, which they can exchange for gifts and gadgets. Year eight students David Snow, Peter Flowers, Nicholas Priebe and Morgan Francis, all 13, donated all their points to charity, which provides free care for those with life-threatening illnesses. Throughout the school year pupils raised £450 from the e-praise system.
Deputy head Ben Antell and Ross Mills, head of year eight, expressed pride in their pupils’ actions. “We had a fantastic response from the students,” said Mr Antell.
“The four boys have been especially generous. They thought about those less fortunate than themselves and would rather see their rewards go to people who really need it.”
