A MAN has appeared in Weymouth Magistrates Court to face charges of sexual assault against a girl.
Bulbul Ahmed, aged 37, of Maiden Street, Weymouth, stands accused of sexual assault on a girl aged 13, two assault charges on a girl under 13 and indecent assault on a girl under 14.
He is yet to enter pleas.
The sexual assault is alleged to have taken place between January 24 2008 and March 9 2011 and the assaults are alleged to have taken place between May 1 2004 and January 23 2008, and January 23 2005 and January 24 2007.
The indecent assault is alleged to have taken place between January 23 2003 and April 30 2004.
Ahmed was released on conditional bail to live in Maiden Street, not to enter a specified Weymouth street, not to contact the alleged victim or witnesses in the case and not to have any unsupervised contact with any child under 16.
He will return to Weymouth Magistrates Court on August 8.
