THE Dorset cricketing community has been shocked to learn of the untimely death of Andy Fitzjohn at the age of 46.
Andy had been captain and chairman of Suttoners CC and had overseen their growth to include twelve teams, from their Bournemouth base at Kinson Manor.
Club founder Derek Hopkins said: "Andy, no mean player, was big in stature and inspiration and worked tirelessly for the club both on and off the field. He also gave much of his time to the Bournemouth and District, East Dorset Youth and Dorset Cricket leagues."
Andy leaves his wife, Dawn, and two sons, Francis and Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at Hamworthy Club on Thursday January 6, at 10am.
