Families are being invited to have a flutter at a special identification day at a Weymouth beauty spot.
Friends of the Rodwell Trail have organised a Butterfly Identification Day today at 1pm starting at the café in Sandsfoot Gardens.
You can take a pleasurable stroll along the Rodwell Trail with the nature experts, including Brian Dicker of Butterfly Conservation, who will help to identify the various butterflies you may spot.
Bernard Franklin, chairman of the friends, said: “Last year, we saw 15 different species including commas, speckled woods, holly and common blues, gatekeepers as well as red admirals and ringlets.
“This time round we’re hoping to spot even more varieties of butterfly and we hope that local residents will join us to find out more about these brightly-coloured insects.”
