BOTANIST David Bellamy led a wildlife walk around holiday parks in Weymouth.
The presenter and environmentalist was the special guest as the two parks held a green festival.
Residents joined holidaymakers and caravan owners for the trek around Weymouth Bay and Seaview Holiday Parks at Preston.
Professor Bellamy highlighted flora and fauna in the parks and in a church field that connects the two parks.
He also opened a new wildlife garden at Seaview created by the park’s green team leader Willy Perez and his team.
Professor Bellamy said: “It was great to be in Weymouth and see the rich bio-diversity in the new wildlife garden.
“Caravan parks are a great haven for wildlife and open a window on the countryside for millions of people to enjoy the bustling world of nature.”
The new wildlife garden includes lavender, marigolds and 7ft-tall lupins.
Children designed posters and pictures for the garden which were on display over the weekend. The company’s third holiday park in Weymouth at Littlesea also joined in the weekend.
