POLICE have concluded their examination of the Bournemouth house where the bodies of an elderly couple were found murdered.
The bodies of Arthur Toop, known as Bob and in his 80s, and his wife Joan, believed to be in her 70s, were discovered in their Uplands Road home in Charminster on Friday evening.
They died from multiple blunt force head injuries and Mr Toop had also suffered additional sharp force chest injuries. Their daughter Susan Toop was also found in the property suffering from serious wrist injuries.
The 52-year-old nurse was arrested by police and taken to hospital. She is being treated at Salisbury District Hospital under police supervision.
Crime scene investigators have remained at the address since Friday to carry out their examination of the scene.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said yesterday: “Specialists have now concluded the crime scene investigation at the address, although evidence removed from the scene is still being examined.
“Once the medical treatment being given to the 52-year-old woman has been completed then she will be brought into police detention for interview.”
Witnesses and anyone with information about the murder should call Dorset Police on 01202 222222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
