PART of the A35 near Bere Regis has been closed after a lorry went off the road, police say.
Most of the vehicle is hanging at a 60 degree angle over a steep embankment but the cab remains in the road and is blocking the route.
Dorset Police have closed one lane of the A35 and are diverting motorists along the nearby A31 until the lorry is recovered.
The lorry driver was uninjured in the incident, which happened on the Wareham side of Bere Regis shortly before midday today.
Police said the vehicle has been left in a ‘very difficult’ position for recovery and specialist equipment would be required to move it.
