UPDATED: Road reopened after air ambulance called to motorcycle crash at Wool
A MOTORCYCLIST suffered leg injuries and concussion after crashing near Wool.
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said the man came off his scooter at a roundabout on the A352 at 2.20pm.
Police and paramedics were on scene and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was also called out, but he was taken by land Ambulance to Dorset County Hospital at Dorchester.
A Dorset Police spokesman said the A352 was closed for emergency services to access the scene and was reopened just before 5pm.
He said the injured biker was riding a silver Sym VS 125 Scooter, which is registered to a Wareham man.
He added: "We had a call from the ambulance service at 2.30pm reporting an RTC near the roundabout adjacent to Woolbridge Manor House."
It is believed the man suffered serious, but not life threatening pelvic injuries.
