Car collides with gritter lorry near Bridport

FIREFIGHTERS have been mopping up a diesel spill on the A35 near Bridport after a car collided with a gritter lorry.
The smash between a black Volkswagen car and a gritter lorry took place on the westbound carriageway of the A35 Dorchester Road close to the Travellers' Rest.
Dorset Police officers were called to the scene at 8.08pm this evening.
Dorset Fire and Rescue firefighters were called out to clean up the diesel spill which came from the lorry.
No-one was injured in the collision. The road remains open.
