Police appeal after five students suffer injuries in collision near Weymouth
7:39pm Tuesday 12th March 2013 in Latest
POLICE are looking for a possible witness to a crash involving five Weymouth College students whose car tumbled down an embankment.
Dorset Police would like to talk to the driver of a green car which was travelling in the opposite direction on the B3159 near Martinstown about 2.30pm on Monday.
The students were travelling in a blue Renault Clio which came off the road between Martinstown and Upwey at the Winterborne Monkton junction and tumbled down an embankment on to the road below.
The five teenage girls were released from the car by firefighters and taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
They were discharged with minor injuries.
A police spokesman said: "Serious injuries were prevented as they were wearing their seatbelts."
Anyone with information is asked to call Weymouth Police's traffic department on 101.
