The recovered cutlery
Detectives in Weymouth are appealing for the help of the public after cutlery was recovered in the town.
On Tuesday February 19, officers arrested a man on suspicion of burglary.
Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said: “Various items of cutlery have been recovered as a result of this arrest.
“I am now in a position to release photos of these items.
“The teaspoons with the gold inlays and engravings are particularly recognisable and may have been presented to somebody in the past. We hope that someone recognises them and will help us to find the rightful owners.
“It is possible that the owners have not yet realised that this cutlery is missing.
“Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any information that may assist with my investigation.”
A 44-year-old Weymouth man has been released on police bail while enquires continue.
