A LORRY driver had a shock when the trailer he was pulling broke off in a residential road.

Hereford Road in Weymouth was blocked for several hours yesterday afternoon after the Woodmace Civil Engineering vehicle got into difficulties.

A spokesman for the company said: “The pin that holds the trailer on broke off. It just sheered completely away.”

Dorset Police were called to the scene to help.

What has this article got to do with the trailer brakes? It was the pin that holds the trailer on that broke off (:o)

I know the driver of this vehicle and he certainly wasn’t in shock !!. Another example of the Echo having nothing of any importance to report and using false headlines to try and jazz up a story of no consequence.

So the police were called to the scene to help, what were they going to do?
