Hunt is on for mystery woman behind riddle of Cath Kidston rings

The rings in question - do you recognise them? The rings in question - do you recognise them?

The hunt is on for the mystery woman behind the riddle of two rings left in a Cath Kidston bag in a shop in Christchurch.

Bosses at Cath Kidston are determined to reunite the rings with their rightful owner, who they've dubbed Lady of the Rings, in time for Valentine's Day.

An 11-year-old girl found the rings inside a Cath Kidston bag she bought in Lavender and Bay gift shop in Christchurch on Sunday January 19.

Now the Daily Echo's story highlighting the mystery has been posted on the official Cath Kidston Facebook and Twitter pages with a renewed plea to reunite the owner with their rings for Valentine's Day.

The post says: “It's almost Valentine's Day and the riddle of the rings continues. Please share this story far and wide to see if we can reunite the modern-day Cinderella with her missing wedding rings in time for the big day.”

The owner of the shop has no idea how they came to be in the bag. The company has also checked those who helped make the bag, and ruled out the possibility that the bag might have been a return.

Can you help find Dorset's Lady of the Rings? One of the rings is a white gold solitaire style ring with a white stone and the other is a pale yellow wedding band.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Knowing the shopkeeper, as I do, I know she would have no wish to keep these rings. I hope they are reunited with their owner and a reward given to the little girl for her honesty.

Well congratulate her on her sort of creative advertising.
.
I think she probably reads too much J.R.R.Tolkien.
