A WOMAN was cut from her car after an accident near Wareham this morning.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the Binnegar Lane junction at East Stoke after a member of the public dialled 999 to report the incident, which involved one vehicle.
The A352 between Wool and Wareham was partially blocked due to an overturned car and there were reports of slow traffic in the area as emergency services deal with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “At 7.31am we received a report of a vehicle overturned at East Stoke, it was reported by a member of the public.
“One vehicle was involved driven by a 21-year-old woman.
“The car, a black Ford Ka, is registered to a man in Wareham.
“Fire and ambulance also attended and the local authority has been called out to check the road.
“The fire brigade got the woman out of the car and she is conscious with minor injuries.”
A spokeswoman for Dorset Fire and Rescue said: "At just after 7.30 this morning we were called by police to attend a road traffic collision.
"A single vehicle had left the carriageway and was found on its side in muddy conditions with the female driver trapped.
"Firefighters from Poole and Wareham removed the roof of the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and the driver was released on a spinal board.
"She was left in the care of paramedics."
The service put out a warning to drivers to take care in icy conditions, and to ensure windows are clear from ice before driving.
