Crewman evacuated from German warship after injury

A man was evacuated from a German warship after dislocating both his shoulders.

The man was on board the Niedersachsen, which was 25 nautical miles south of Portland Bill yesterday afternoon. (24) The Captain of the vessel called the coastguard to request a medical evacuation of the male crewman who had dislocated his shoulders playing sports.

The helicopter from Lee-on-Solent was sent and evacuated the man to Southampton Hospital for treatment.

Twas only 25 mls south of the bill.
