Man, 18, before Weymouth magistrates charged with drug offences

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man appeared at court this morning in Weymouth charged with multiple drugs offences.

Storm Darch, formerly of Beverley Road and now of no fixed abode, entered no pleas at Weymouth Magistrates Court to offences of possessing, with others, the Class B drug methedrone with intent to supply between October 2011 and March 2012 and possessing criminal property, cash, on March 7 last year. He has also been charged with, together with another, possessing a weapon designed to give an electrical charge on the same date.

Darch is further charged with other drug-related offences including possessing quantities of heroin, methedrone and amphetamine with intent to supply on July 6 last year. No pleas were given. A further charge of criminal damage to a car windscreen was denied by the defendant.

Darch was remanded in custody and will appear again at the court on January 22 via videolink for a committal hearing when the case will be sent to the crown court.
