Recycling sites in Weymouth and Portland set for closure

RECYCLING sites in Weymouth and Portland will close for separate three-day periods this month.
The Weymouth centre on Preston Beach Road and the Portland site on Easton Lane are being shut for cleaning and maintenance.
The annual deep clean consists of thorough cleansing, landscape maintenance, relining of parking bays, painting and general repairs to steps and recycling containers.
Weymouth household recycling centre (HRC) will be closed all day from Tuesday, January 15 to Thursday, January 17.
Portland HRC will be unavailable from Tuesday, January 29 to Thursday, January 31.
Residents can use other sites, which include Dorchester and Sherborne, or should hang on to their waste until their local centre re-opens.
