Armed police find crossbow in raid in Weymouth

Armed police swooped on two properties in Weymouth and seized a crossbow and stolen items.
Officers carried out raids at an address in Portmore Gardens and another in Carlton Road North earlier today. Three people were arrested and are helping police with their enquiries.
Inspector Les Fry said: “We carried out a firearms warrant and a theft warrant in Weymouth.
“As a result a crossbow and bullets were recovered and stolen property from a number of burglaries in and around Weymouth.
“Three people were arrested, a 19-year-old and 30-year-old man and a 17 -year-old woman, all from Weymouth.”
