BOOK retailers are placing repeat orders for the Dorset Echo’s stunning new photographic book, in response to overwhelming customer demand.

Copies of Dorset: A Photographic Journey in an Olympic Year have already been distributed to local retailers and branch offices of the Dorset Echo.

But shelves are now having to be re-stocked at several book stores, as the hardback book tops the list of best-sellers.

The 176-page book currently is currently selling well in outlets throughout the area. The £14.95 book is the latest from a string of successful titles produced by the Dorset Echo and has chapters covering all areas of the country. From the rugged cliffs of the Jurassic Coast to wild heathland immortalised by Thomas Hardy and from the sandy beaches to rolling downs and verdant woodland, the app captures the essence of a part of the world it is impossible not to love.

There is also a chapter on the exciting sailing events at the Olympic and Paralympic Games held at Weymouth in 2012, giving you a chance to enjoy, at close-hand the thrills of gold medal racing.

The beautiful images have been captured by the Dorset Echo's award-winning photographs and contributors from across the county.

You can enjoy a preview of the book online by visiting dorsetecho.co.uk/book.
