Biker injured in Weymouth roundabout collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a motorbike and a lorry.
Officers were called to the mini-roundabout at Newstead Road, near Asda, at 6pm last night.
The biker, who sustained injuries, was taken to hospital. Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101.

I hope the biker makes a swift recovery. What was wrong with the "T" junction that had been there for years and years without incident?
Another case of medling with our roads, making them more dangerous!

The mini-roundabout had to be put in to allow drivers a pause to admire the new bridge.
I hope that the rider gets well soon.

Mini roundabouts are statistically safer than T-junctions (and signal junctions). You can't judge safety on a single event.
