A RECORD number of ales were on offer at a beer festival in Weymouth over the weekend.
Drinkers enjoyed a selection of over 50 real ales at the annual Octoberfest, held at Brewers Quay.
The extravaganza - organised by West Dorset Campaign for Real Ale - saw visitors enjoying tipples by independent brewers from across the South West. Ales available included the extra-strong Old Freddie Walker and several ciders.
People flocked in their hundreds to the two-day festival, and were rewarded with free commemorative festival pint glasses as part of their admission.
There was also live music and a wide choice of food to keep the crowds happy.
