A WOMAN faces trial at Bournemouth Crown Court following the alleged stabbing of a policewoman in Poole at the weekend.
As reported in the Daily Echo, the PC was taken to hospital after allegedly being knifed in the leg at the Dolphin Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon. Her injuries were not life threatening.
Danielle Portia Preston, 22, of no fixed abode, appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court this morning charged with unlawfully wounding PC Deborah Day with intent to do her grievous bodily harm.
She was remanded in custody to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday.
