A man was air lifted to hospital on Tuesday (16) after a two-vehicle collision on the A354 Blandford to Dorchester road, near Winterborne Whitchurch, at about 10.50am.
The vehicles - a red Toyota Celica coupe driven by a woman from the Dorchester area and a blue BMW four-door saloon car registered to a man from Christchurch - collided near Ranmoor Farm at Thornicombe.
Two fire crews from Blandford used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man from the wreckage of the BMW before he was flown to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester for treatment to minor injuries.
Police reopened the road at 12.30pm.
