Accident causes severe delays
12:12pm Saturday 4th July 2009
AN accident on one of Bournemouth's busiest roads has caused severe traffic delays today (Sat).
Wallisdown Road between the Wallisdown Road roundabout and Mountbatten roundabout was closed both ways following a crash involving three vehicles.
A police spokesman said injuries sustained had been minor.

WHY DO PEOPLE FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS THE SPEED WHICH CAUSES DAMAGE. SPEED ABOVE 30 IS MORELIKELY TO KILL, IT WONT PREVENT ACCIDENTS, JUST SAVE LIVES

A lack of concentration, that's all. Communication with others is also a key factor and as long as you do what you have to do when out and about we should all be able to get around much easier and safer. Have you walked into someone this week, no? there must be a reason for that?

It ceases to amaze me how comments regarding a story about an accident results into an argument about the comments, and because someone is using capitals. However some of the comments, (particularly, but not specifically) on this article, and others lead me to the conclusion of what is the point?
I wasn’t aware the Echo Team was considering shutting down various parts of the forum, which would be regrettable, but understandable. Ideally the moderation of the forum should be increased, so comments with personal criticism, making judgments with insufficient facts, and other negative content can be deleted before being shown. This is a very useful format in which local residents can make constructive comments, but the majority may well be deterred, as I have.

I'm sure the echo would not be pleased to loose the web traffic. Maybe they should update their comment system before we revolt! :-)
On a related note... the adverts that the echo use are often so dynamic they cause my laptop fan to go into overdrive. This also reduces the battery life quite dramatically. Thanks for that echo!
