Bournemouth's got talent as stars arrive

STARS of Britain's Got Talent have arrived in Bournemouth this afternoon ahead of their sell-out show at the BIC this evening.

This year's winners Diversity, wearing matching striped outfits, wandered down to Bournemouth Square in the sunshine and posed for photos with fans.

The group, along with last year's winner George Sampson and stars of this year's show Stavros Flatley, Aidan Davis, Hollie Steel, 2 Grand, Shaheen and Flawless were at the Norfolk Royale hotel on Richmond Hill.

Stavros Flatley star Demetrios was flashing his famous belly for fans outside the hotel.

The stars chatted with residents at the hotel before climbing into the two Britain's Got Talent coaches, presumably bound for the BIC.

The Flawless boys, who wowed the BGT audience with a dance to Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal, refused to be drawn on whether tonight's show would feature a special tribute to the pop legend.

There had also been speculation that Jackson had asked the Diversity troupe to perfom alongside him on stage at the O2 next month.

Singer Susan Boyle was nowhere to be seen but tour bosses said she would be on stage tonight.

Last week the Scottish singer pulled out of a show in Liverpool just hours before she was due on stage and missed the following night's performance in Cardiff before rejoining the tour.

Earlier in the tour she pulled out of two shows in Manchester only to return for homecoming performances in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The tour continues to London tomorrow before going on to Belfast, Birmingham and Cardiff, returning to Bournemouth next Sunday, July 5 for one last night at the BIC.

Are you going to see the tour tonight? Text your reviews to 80360 or tell us what you thought in the comments - then check back tomorrow morning for our review.

Yes, Britain has talent ... but this ain't it!

As long as it entertains people and makes money, I guess everyone's happy.

Great feel good show. The dance acts were electric. Such Diversity and so Flawless!

Michael Jackson's death was mentioned and his music throughout the show generated a very moving tribute to him. It also gave a bittersweet touch to Darth Jackson's performance of Thriller with his storm troopers. Amidst the humour I couldn't help but imagine michael's own dynamic dance version. However to add a lighter touch, there was the great stavros flatley impersonations by the troopers which went down a storm!

Susan Boyle showed great strength of character and performed with wonderful warmth to sing a very moving rendition of I dreamed a dream.

The blending together of the acts was inspired, especially, when as Shaun was singing aint no sunshine Julian joined him with his magical saxaphone.

Also very moving were,
Holly and 2 grand singing Eidleveiss As was julian's stirring rendition of There's a place for us from west side story, everyone cheering as he held onto that amazing last note on his sax.

George Sampson was welcomed back to the world of BGT with a whooping applause and his new dance routine to pink floyd was inspired.

Again shaheen singing a Michael Jackson song, combined with Aiden and the two young dancers from Diversity was great fun, but yet at the same time a reminder of the fact that Michael, like them, was a young talented star many years ago.

So, with the dj talent intro, the great humour of stavros, the moving musical renditions, the outstanding dance routines, all expertly held together with great ease by the compere, Stephen Mulhern ,I can honestly say BGT was a great night out, and going by the standing ovation at the end , I don't think I am the only one who thought so!! Especially after that incredible, spellbinding finale by diversity!
So well done all of you who put so much into tonight's show.Thank you.

Hi all. Did Susan Boyle sing today at the BIC? If anybody has video of Susan Boyle's performance, please post it either here or on YouTube, if you would! Thanks so much. Her fans in the US are searching for video from today!

Oh Pzazz, I think you posted as I was reading and posting my question! So Susan Boyle was there! Her singing is truly soul-touching. Did she only sing the one song, then, or did she sing Memory as well? AND...do you have a video you could post? Thanks from Susan's fans in the US!

Beachhut - what is so "sad sad sad explotation big time". The performers are enjoying themselves and earning themselves some money and a name for themselves. They wouldn't have auditioned if they didn't want to be on the stage!
Viewers are also enjoying themselves.
With tours like this selling out quickly I think your thoughts are certainly with the minority.
It's fun - harmless fun :)

Hi, just read your comment , so sorry for the delay in replying. Yes, Susan sang with great warmth and a twinkle in her eye. She sang memory and I deamed a dream, both sung together in the second half of the show. She smiled and blew kisses to the audience and seemed more relaxed than portrayed in the media. Sorry i didnt take any photos or videos. Many others did so i am sure by now you will have found one of theirs on you tube. i must look again myself. i did find one of the other acts on you tube so i am sure susan will be there too.

There are many cynics in the world and I know some people say bgt has no talent but I was there on friday and i thought they were all very talented and I would like those who dare to be so cynical and critical to sing dance or play a saxaphone as well as the bgt stars did on friday. They have been working very hard and it takes a great deal of "stickability" to keep performing night after night around the country.

I hope you find footage of susan. I am sure a cd will be out soon . besides listening to susan, i am especially looking forward to shuan and julian's rendition of aint no sunshine. that was a truly inspired duet. . great voice and beautiful sax!

Bye from acroos the miles

Hi, and thanks for your kind reply. I have found lots of videos now on youtube, but it took awhile for the Bournemouth footage to post there! I'm so glad you found her relaxed and happy, seeing her in person you can tell so much more than on youtube.

I am gradually watching my way through videos of all the finalists, and I thoroughly agree with you--lots of talent there! They clearly love doing the shows, with not a one of them shows any signs of being bored or exhausted! The audiences all seem thoroughly thrilled, and I think it's win win!

We in the US especially hope some of the performers come over here, Susan in particular! Yes, I've signed up at Amazon.com to be notified when her CD is released... Actually, I'm hoping for a dvd, since I've gotten addicted to seeing her expressive ways as she sings.

Thanks again for your reply across oh so many miles!!
