A POST mortem was due to be held today following the discovery of a man’s body in an indoor swimming pool at a cliff-top apartment block.
Emergency services were called to Saltaire holiday flats in Sea Road, Southbourne at 9am on Monday.
A Dorset police spokesman confirmed that officers had been alerted by the ambulance service.
A man in his late 20s, who has not yet been identified, was confirmed dead at 9.10am and the East Dorset coroner has been informed.
The police spokesman stressed that there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the sudden death.
He added that the man’s next of kin, who live in Ireland, had been informed.
An inquest will be held.
