THE crew of a motor cruiser attracted plenty of unwanted attention after finding themselves stranded by the tide.
Their predicament was captured on camera by Tony Toller after he spotted the Fairline Corniche stranded on the beach near the Sandbanks Ferry at around 4pm on Sunday.
Coastguards offered assistance to the crew but were told it was not required.
Mr Toller said: “I suspect that they didn’t want to moor the boat too far out. Then the tide has gone out and left them stranded. They were in a very embarrassing position. You’ve got hundreds of boats going past with people pointing and laughing.”
Meanwhile rescue services were kept busy for much of Sunday afternoon assisting of a number of vessels in trouble.
