BLOOMING beautiful bonnets lovingly created by a top trainee florist are exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show today.
Lauren Curry from Burton, an apprentice at Sarah-Ann Florists in Fairmile, has entered the Young Florist of the Year competition to create a flamboyant floral hat.
The 20-year-old has based her eye-catching arrangements on My Fair Lady, using monochrome colours woven with the metallic hues adorning the peonies, calla lillies, orchids and roses to make-up the constantly-changing arrangement.
Lauren said: “This is the first time I’ve ever been to Chelsea so I’m throwing myself in the deep end a little.
“I didn’t think it would be this stressful but everything has to be perfect so it’s a constant working progress.”
