TV presenter Tim Vincent is urging cat lovers to take the lead from their feline friends by getting out in the fresh air and having fun to support a leading animal charity.

Paws Outdoors is a new initiative by the Cats Protection League that aims to encourage people to organise outdoor fundraising activities like a fundraising walk, a family get together or a charity barbecue.

Tim says: “Paws Outdoors is a great idea that will not only help raise much-needed funds to look after unwanted and abandoned cats, but it will also encourage people to get outdoors and have fun – something which I think everyone could benefit from, especially in the current climate.”

Paws Outdoors runs for the whole of June, the ideal month for the organisation to call on supporters to enjoy the long days, “paws” and relax in the same way that cats do. All the money raised will go to helping the thousands of cats and kittens in the charity’s care.

Cats Protection helps around 157,000 cats and kittens per year through a national network of 252 volunteer-run branches and 29 adoption centres.

Anyone interested in fundraising on behalf of the charity can find more details via cats.org.uk or email fundraising@cats.org.uk or call 01825 741 272.
