THE Ringwood businessman who's vowed to cross the world's busiest shipping lane in a pedalo has had a welcome boost for his charity stunt - from Sir Steve Redgrave.
Rugby legend Will Carling has also added his support for the endeavour, on June 6.
Mike Boss decided he wanted to do the crossing for charity after he was badly injured falling off a ladder in America.
The Wessex Rehabilitation Centre helped him recover, so Mike decided to help them in return.

Sir Steve Redgrave heard about the challenge and sent this message of good luck:
"I have heard of some bizarre challenges in my time but for two fat blokes crossing the Solent on a duck is probably the craziest of all!!
"But at least you will be facing forwards, which means you will be able to see everything in your way... even though you may not have the speed to avoid some of the big ships!
"I wish you the best of luck, calm water and happy pedaling. Hope you raise lots of money Good luck
